When do new emojis reach my phone?
Unicode approves the list, then each company draws them. Apple usually ships them in an iOS update a few months later; on Android it depends on the brand and the keyboard (Gboard often gets them first). Until then you may see an empty box: your system just doesn’t have that drawing yet.
